Why visit?

This area is the undiscovered country, as remote and rural as you get south of the Highlands of Scotland. Nestling in the Elenydd Hills of the Cambrian Mountains it is an idillic area to explore away from the crowded National Parks. The area is a haven for walkers & cyclists who want to get away from the crowds. The quiet roads & low population density mean road cyclists can enjoy long stretches without vehicles if they time their rides right.

Local Facilities

Caban Caron Hostel is situated on the eastern edge of the vibrant market town of Tregaron, on the slopes of the beautiful Cambrian mountains. It is handy for pubs, cafés & shops. There is easy access to roads & mountains straight out of the door.

For mountain & Gravel bikers there’s miles & miles of tracks, forest roads & bridalways to explore or the hostel is within 40 minutes of Brechfa Forest MTB trails & 30 minutes from Bwlch Nant yr Arian MTB trails & visitors centre.

Dogs are welcome by arrangement for a small adddtional fee. Sheets and pillow cases are provided. BYO sleeping bag or hire.
